Lisette is the co-founder of Coding Exchange and a TYWLS of Astoria alum with a devotion to share her knowledge and help provide opportunities to other students globally to a computer science education. She is currently a first-year at SUNY New Paltz and her declared major is Computer Science
Nazaret is the co-founder of Coding Exchange and a TYWLS of Astoria alum with a passion for providing access to computer science education to students around the world. She is currently a first-year at Barnard College and is planning to study Computer Science.
Emily Fields is the founding educator of Coding Exchange and proud to be the STEM Director and Computer Science Lead at The Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria. She is dedicated to finding creative opportunities for her students to learn and explore computer science and believes deeply in the power of self-directed learning.
Lizbeth is currently a TYWLS of Astoria senior who is passionate about helping others in less fortunate situations. She is motivated to study in the STEM field in the future.
Marwa is currently a TYWLS of Astoria senior. She is passionate about studying STEM and working towards closing the gender gap.
Michelle is a TYWLS of Astoria senior with a passion for giving back and changing the world. She strives to infuse tech into the medical field to advocate for human rights globally.
Joanne is currently a junior at TYWLS of Astoria who is devoted to helping others and making a difference through code.
Katherine is currently a junior at TYWLS of Astoria who has a passion for document Coding Exchange’s mission.
Sophia is an 11th grader at TYWLS of Astoria. She is passionate about conveying powerful stories through film to shift perspectives and promote change.
Angie is currently a sophomore at TYWLS of Astoria who is dedicated to teaching others with fewer opportunities how to code.
Mia is a freshman in TYWLS. She is excited to be able to teach using technology to those that don’t have the same opportunities. She hopes to make a difference with code.
Rahifah is currently a freshman at TYWLS of Astoria. She is a hardworking, motivated individual who does her best on everything she does. She is passionate about improving the lives of others through STEM and lessons of self-confidence and hard work.
